Foam Baffles

[Foam Baffles]

Product Description
These 2'x4'x 3" thick polyurethane foam baffles are suspended vertically from their own internal wire frame with corner eyelets. By hovering them in rows and columns above unencloseable noise sources, they absorb unwanted echo. They can also help dissipate sound energy if used within a suspended QBS-1 curtain system surrounding a noise source.
Open cell polyurethane acoustic foam, 3" thick, and convoluted on both sides for maximum absorption of airbourne noise energy. Each baffle measures 24" x 48" in size. Lined on the inside of the material is a wiring structure with eyelets protruding from the corners designed for free vertical hanging above the noise source, or for interconnecting several baffles for greater airbourne coverage.
W A R N I N G : Urethane foam, when exposed to heat or ignition sources, may bum. Once ignited, urethane foams can burn rapidly, consuming a high rate of oxygen and releasing hazardous gases, toxic fumes and smoke. In an enclosed space, this may prove fatal. Consideration must be given to the flammability issue when using this product. Do not expose urethane foam to an atmosphere that will contaminate it, nor to ignition or hear sources that may cause it to burn.
Tips:

Call NetWell for help in determining the quantity you need. Know that airbourne noise echo dissipation is not making the noise SOURCE less loud, just the echo! Expect a 3-8 dB drop. Watch out for sprinklers, airvents, and overhead cranes! Also note that foam creates dust, and should not be used above a printing press or in a clean room or food processing facility. Because of their smoke density, they are also not class A fire rated. Substitute our VET baffles instead!
Installation Techniques:

Suspend via wire or cable from the ceiling. Try to position them so 50% face North/South and the balance face East/West. This will intercept a higher percentage of original bounce. Check with NetWell for quantity and placement!
The standard installation technique is self evident. Simply suspend the baffles vertically with wire from [lie ceiling. Baffles can be interconnected to create a larger mass area. As for quantity and placement, check with your acoustic consultant at 1- 800-NETWELL!
