Mr. Kruckow began his training in 1981. He earned his Black Belt in 1986 under Master Worley and Master Franks. Mr. Kruckow began teaching for USA Karate in 1986. He was awarded his second degree in 1988.

Mr. Kruckow took tournament 1st place wins at each of the local N.C.K.A. tournaments: City of Lakes Open, Fall Central States, Twin Cities Open, Minnesota State Championships, Eau Claire Open, La Cross Open, and Spring Central States. He was ranked #1 in the N.C.K.A. Black Belt Sparring Divisions for the 1988-89 season as well as the 1989-90 season. He took Grand Champion at the City of Lakes Open as well as the Minnesota State Championships.

He has brought at least 60 students to the Black Belt level including Dominic Forté, nationally and internationally ranked Steve Carlson, locally ranked Marci Weiner, locally ranked Mike Michaelsen, locally and nationally ranked Andrea Michaelsen.

He continues his Martial Arts journey with American Tae Kwon Do and Jujitsu.
